The
Fisker Atlantic is a plug-in hybrid concept car, first shown to the public at the
New York International Auto Show in April 2012. It's compact follow-up to the high-style Karma debuted early last month to a fair amount of fanfare as early adopters heralded the new range-extended EV as more proof that affordable electrics are on their way. But according to leaked investor documents secured by Inside EVs, the Fisker won’t go on sale for at least another two years. It produced by the American car manufacturer Fisker Automotive,
Fisker Atlantic was to be a smaller addition to the range to sit below the Fisker Karma.

The
Fisker Atlantic was scheduled to become Fisker Automotive's
second production car, after plans to produce the Fisker Surf and Sunset variants of its full-size Karma were shelved earlier in 2012. Production was initially scheduled to begin by the end of 2012. Earlier this week, we got our first hint of Wanxiang’s plans for Fisker’s future from the company itself, in the form of a newly launched website and a “promise” to build. Good news is that the BMW-sourced, turbocharged in line four-cylinder engine will be beefed up to around 300 horsepower, allowing the
Atlantic to scoot to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds, while only putting out 50 g/km of C02, similar in design to the Karma, the Atlantic is a four-door, four-seat sedan.

Fisker Atlantic revealed a new car, is called the Atlantic at the New York auto show earlier in 2012, more affordable vehicle. First shown back in 2012, the Fisker was the baby brother to the Karma. A luxurious, good-looking plug-in hybrid that was intended to do battle with mainstream Mercedes and BMW models while the sexier, slinkier Fisker Karma acted as the brand’s halo car. The Karma did well enough before Fisker’s troubles started, and will probably do well again. No reason to believe, then, that a Fisker reborn with real funding won’t do better. Compared to the pricey and luxurious Karma, the
Fisker Atlantic is meant to be a more affordable extended range electric vehicle. Until now, however, Fisker had revealed very few details on the new car, but fortunately documents leaked online give us a better idea of what's under the hood.
